From 10 to 12 February 2026, the energy industry will meet in Essen for E-world energy & water – and celebrate a special anniversary: 25 years of E-world. Since its premiere in 2001, the trade fair has developed from a national trade event into Europe’s central meeting place for the energy industry.

What began with around 230 exhibitors and a good 6,000 trade visitors is now a leading international trade fair where national and international companies present forward-looking technologies, intelligent services and solutions for achieving climate targets. The development of E-World reflects the transformation of the industry itself: from liberalisation and regulation to digitalisation to the integration of renewable energies and new business models for municipal utilities and energy suppliers.

It is no coincidence that this anniversary coincides with 25 years of ITVT. Both stand for a quarter of a century of change, innovation and partnership-based shaping of an increasingly complex energy world.

Anyone who works for international companies knows the challenges of data exchange and protection. The question arises every day: How can data be exchanged globally in order to provide colleagues with important information while taking into account the data protection regulations of the respective countries?

A German company in the field of recycling asked itself the same question after being taken over by a non-European investor. Due to the structural adjustment and expansion of the IT systems to global servers outside the Eurozone, the company’s own data center was no longer sufficient. More computing power for the central

Cloud vs. On- Premise : Microsoft Dynamics 365 impresses with high system flexibility

In joint consultations with ITVT experts, the company’s project team decided to implement the entire Microsoft Cloud.

Future collaboration in the cloud has enabled processes and coordination to be strengthened internationally and data to be made centrally and easily available. Production downtimes will thus be prevented in the future and compliance with applicable compliance guidelines will be ensured thanks to the additional integration of the Microsoft Defender security suite – also part of the Microsoft 365 suite.

How a telecoms provider reaches new heights with Microsoft Dynamics 365

Cloud systems have been offering users and companies the opportunity to expand and digitally manage their own IT structures and storage capacities for several years now. The cloud makes it possible to work on the same content from almost any conceivable location at any time without losing data. In order to maintain connection stability, a strong infrastructure and network expansion are required – the connection between network or broadband expansion and the cloud therefore remains strong.

Telecommunications providers ensure precisely this connection and demonstrate with their daily commitment that implementation strength is needed to drive digitalization forward. One German telecommunications provider is doing just that in a number of ways. In order to live up to its own standards and be a role model for its customers, the company reorganized its entire IT structure together with ITVT.

Take off using a cloud solution and optimized processes

Parts of the existing system were so outdated that planning could not be implemented efficiently and comprehensively – with negative effects on internal processes and the company’s own day-to-day business. A joint decision was made in favor of targeted integration into the cloud and the modernization of the existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.

Following the successful implementation and conversion to the new system structure, the company now has access to a cloud-based, future-proof Microsoft Dynamics 365 online CRM that improves operational management and offers new potential.
